We use organic chemistry tools to study molecular self- assembly in water and the behavior of molecules in the membrane and cavity of lipid vesicles. By doing so, we hope to learn something about the abiogenesis (that is, the chemical origin of life) and how to design cell-mimetic devices for applications in bio-sensing and controlled drug delivery.
